Honey Mustard Cornish Hen
Ingredients
- 1 Rock Cornish hens
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons teaspoons honey
- 3/4 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- optional: 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
note: If you have leftover honey mustard packets from fast food adventures, that works as a sauce too! Just replace the items in blue with 2-4 honey mustard packs.
Directions
- Preheat toaster oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line your baking dish with aluminum foil for easier cleanup. Put a rack in the dish if you can for more even cooking.
- Put the hen breast side down in the dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Whisk together the honey, poppy seeds, mustard and ginger. Brush the sauce over the hen.
- Roast uncovered for 1/2 hour. Turn the hen over and brush the sauce over it again.
- Roast for another 1/2 hour.
Baked Potato
Ingredients
- plastic wrap
- 1 medium potato
Directions
Wrap the potato in plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 6-8 minutes (12-14 minutes for 2 potatoes). Potato may whistle in microwave. Let stand 2 minutes then unwrap and serve.
Corn on the Cob
Ingredients
- 1 ear corn, husked and cleaned
- 1 paper towel
Directions:
Get the paper towel wet. Wring it out until damp. Wrap it around the ear of corn. Place it on a paper plate. Cook on high in the microwave for 3-5 minutes. Remove from the microwave and let stand 1-2 minutes.

Breakfast In A Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 tsp butter
- 2 tsp milk
- 1 egg
- dash of salt & pepper
- 2 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
- shredded cheese (optional, not shown)
Directions
Place butter in a small microwave bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, until melted. Add egg, milk, salt & pepper. Mix together with a fork. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Remove from microwave & break the egg apart. Microwave for another 30 seconds. Remove while they are still moist. Add crumbled bacon, and cheese if desired. Let stand 2 minutes.
